The Power of Belief

My game for the Graded unit of my HND Games Development course, A nice side shooter where the player avoids the enemy bullets while depleting his health. after a certain amount of time, the game shall do a screen change. The main goal of the game is to get the highest score possible.

Story:

a modern day scientist has found the right combination of atoms and genes to mutate into a powerful being, time is no longer a challenge for him. With his newfound powers he decides to create a portal and travel through time and prove that god does not exist and removing any potential “Butterfly effects” that can lead to the beliefs of Christianity and any religion. The player is a janitor that worked at the scientist’s laboratory and knows that messing with time to this scale will have potentially catastrophic effects on the world and so decides to try and stop the Scientist. The janitor jumps through the portal and ends up in the Garden of Eden, the scientist notices that the player has jumped through the portal and threatens to kill them for trying to ruin his plans, as a last ditch effort the player decides to eat a apple on the tree and gains similar powers to the Scientist’s. The player must fight the Scientist throughout time, past and future to save the timeline from being damaged.

W - Move Up

S - Move Down

A - Move Back

D - Move Forward

Spacebar - Fire Bullets
